|If you are up to a challenge this is the hunt for you. Wolves are the "Ghosts of the Rockies", and Alberta’s hardest trophy. They are big (up to 180 lbs) and smart, these crafty canines don’t come easy, but well worth the patients. They combine wolf hunts with coyote hunting and ice fishing. The outfitter's favorite words come into play here “no bag limit” so when the chance comes don’t stop shooting. Wolf hunts are conducted using heated blinds over bait and calling. |
|This outfitter offers guided trophy hunts for Arctic wolf. They are the only outfitter offering spring wolf hunts in the eastern arctic region of Nunavut. This is not your typical spring hunt where you get dropped off at a nice lodge or a fixed hunting camp. Hunting out of a fixed location will not produce good results as wolves can travel up to 40 kilometers a day in search of caribou. Their hunts are based on proven hunting methods by Inuit, perfected over the past 25 years. You travel by snowmobile with your Inuit guide in search of the elusive wolf in areas where there is a good concentration of caribou.
They fly you right into these remote hunting areas on a safe comfortable Twin Otter aircraft on skis. Your hunt begins from a remote location in prime wolf territory.
The spring hunt is a 10 day package. Hunters are expected to help out the guides in setting up camp, helping with camp chores, etc. You stay in comfortable insulated tents. The hunts commence out of Arviat or Rankin Inlet. |
