One of the most fun and unique areas to fish in Alaska is Sitka. Southeast Alaska is known for awesome scenery and awesome fishing. Fishing takes place on the ocean here and that means “fresh” salmon that haven’t even headed up the rivers yet. It also means salmon and halibut fishing (not to mention rockfish and ling cod) from the same boat and in the same waters. It is not uncommon to catch salmon, halibut and other fish during one day.
The Lodge is located overlooking the sound and only 200 yards from the dock where the four custom built boats sit. Four to six anglers can all fish from the same 30′ – 32′ boat. The meals are outstanding and include many local favorites. Bedrooms each have two beds and a private bathroom. Fishing packages include: daily guided fishing, three incredible meals per day (plus appetizers after fishing), van transportation to/from the Sitka airport, fish processing, freezing and boxing for return flights. Anglers will be fishing for salmon, halibut, ling cod, rockfish and other bottom feeders – all gear and tackle is included as is rain gear and boots (no reason to pack those heavy items). Licenses, flight to Sitka and sales tax/gratuities are the only extra costs.
